My Experience
I didn’t set out to work in ecommerce, it just happened to me.
With stints at stockrooms, warehouses, and offices for ecommerce brands big and small, I learned the behind-the-scenes machinations of how products make their way to our homes.
During all this, I managed inventory, oversaw international shipments, and coordinated massive sales. All on the most taped-together tech stack you’ve ever seen.
But, ecommerce wasn’t finished with me.
I went on to lead marketing efforts for an ecommerce web development agency, helping brands like Funko Pop and Grundéns create stellar online stores using WooCommerce and Magento.
Following this, I worked to grow the US presence of carbon-neutral shipping company, Sendle, as one of their first American hires.
Most recently, as Managing Editor for Shogun, I built out powerful resources for ecommerce brands to enable them to scale their Shopify and BigCommerce stores through great web design and smart marketing tactics.
Now, with The Ecomm Manager, I’m dedicated to helping ecommerce leaders scale their brands and grow their careers through content that delivers actionable strategies and software recommendations that accelerate their efforts and simplify their work.

The Technology I Use
Technology has made my life measurably better. This, I say, as I type on a MacBook Air and watch these words form on a massive external monitor as I listen to my Daylist on Spotify through my Sonos speaker.
When not standing at the computer, I’m listening to podcasts on my earbuds while walking in the park or on my bike trainer careening through virtual worlds on Zwift.
Beyond that, my browser is stacked with extensions to simplify my work, like password managers (1Password and LastPass), BuiltWith Technology Profiler, a tab management app, and various SEO tools.
